Born in CA, and raised in Spokane, WA, Tanesha Ross has always had a passion for performing. She moved to Seattle after high school to further her arts education, and graduated from Cornish College of the Arts, earning a BM focusing in vocal performance. Upon graduating, she moved onto a surprising, yet rewarding career in the theatre arts, where she has, for the past 10 years, been working on national and regional stages, as well as film and television. In 2008, she won a Seattle Times Footlight Award for the role of Eshie Willington in Village Theatre’s production of Saint Heaven.
Tanesha also has a passion for volunteering, and is a teaching artist for ASTEP (www.asteponline.org) , a volunteer arts outreach program for underprivileged youth.
Tanesha loves just about any outdoor activity, loves to travel and also enjoys cooking, then eating, writing, watching movies, and playing guitar. She also likes referring to herself in the third person. She currently resides in Seattle, WA with her husband Derek Van Heel.
